How does HR/Comp at your companies feel about disclosing salary ranges to candidates? I know pretty much all of my peers feel it would make the candidate's experience better and our jobs easier, since no one would be wasting their time. I've heard some arguments in favor of not disclosing, and there is a certain degree of logic behind some of them, but I'm wondering what those arguments at your companies, and if it's something you feel is warranted or not.

I have an L3 Finance written offer from Google. TC $146k in Austin. It is a slight hit in my cash comp compared to my current role. Overall getting a 15% bump in terms of TC. I have tried my best to negotiate and at least match my current cash comp but doesn't look like there's a way they can meet it. I was offered a promotion but due to internal policies the max comp they could offer was way under market value. I countered and was denied.
