I applied for one rule at BlackRock a couple of months ago and received a rejection email couple of weeks ago.

I just received two emails from them asking me to submit a virtual cover letter for two different roles.

Should I just ignore them and not waste my time or this is normal to happen?

I have been in HR for 3 years, doing full cycle with a focus on sourcing and branding. My background is in marketing and I’m struggling with how to further develop in HR. I loved all my classes pertaining to HR in college but never saw myself going this route back then.

i’m an average account person (4 YOE). and frankly, i just need to make more money. don’t feel like i have any lucrative hard skills, just soft account skills. How do I pivot and make more? Is going back to school my only option? Is there a pivot with transferable skills i’m not thinking of? Feedback anyone!? I’m actively job hunting & one of the roles I applied to early on asked for compensation expectations as a mandatory field as you apply. Tbh I think it may have auto-populated from another application session. Fault of my own, I breezed through those generic prompts when applying. Question is, how much wiggle room do I realistically have from the original numb. I filled in vs. asking for much higher? Is there a way to come back from this?

I'm a first time mom to be. I plan to take a week long solo overseas trip at the end of my maternity leave to give myself a break (when my baby would be 2.5 months old). How possible is that if I plan to breastfeed? My mom kept telling me it's not possible, but I know it could be due to different generations.

I got written up due to a millennial aged co-worker whose feelings I accidentally hurt during a meeting. I didn’t call the person any derogatory names or shout or do anything out of the ordinary. I just pointed out some strategic errors that would have effected the deliverables. I was told by my supervisor that people of this persons age don’t respond well to criticism and that I need to find another way to communicate when they’ve failed to complete a task properly. Anyone have any suggestions?

Making a “Stop Making Dumb Mistakes” checklist for myself so I stop overlooking very simple mishaps. 1) After changing party names in a definitions section, make sure to alphabetize the definitions section again. Plz throw me any of your dumb mistakes I can add to my list.
