I know people like to talk about “digital strategy” but I don’t believe such a thing exists; there’s strategy (formulating paths to create value / accrete eps) and there’s delivery. Am I wrong?
What’s the best way I can save for a home? It hurts to have anything more than 10k in my savings account. Don’t want the money to just sit but also I’m a bit weary about putting more money in the market with the impending doom.
3 years as an IT auditor and 1 in financial reporting. - what are my options from here? Feels like 4 wasted years with no long term career path in front of me.

Hello. I'm 33 years old and I'm just over 17 weeks, and had a "high risk" result on my sequential screen (combines blood tests from 12 and 16 weeks). My NT was normal, but I'm showing 1/230 risk for Down Syndrome. Today I did my Panorama/NIPT test, and I'm just in such an awful place. From what I can tell, my unconjugated estriol is low, which is a marker for Down Syndrome. How many of you had a positive screen then were cleared with the NIPT?

Have a primary home and a vacation home. We go to vacation home for holidays as family is near by but it is a 2 day drive to get there or a plane ride. With our pups driving has become more of the norm. We do not rent when we are not there. Thinking of buying third home about 4 hours from primary home on the coast for enjoyment. I worry about juggling 3 homes. Anyone with experience with this? Advice?
Has anyone ever been told that the visual style they’ve established is too feminine for a brand, when male creatives have sold through campaigns using pink, purple, and other more “feminine” elements?
Hi, any tip for a teacher looking to get into the consulting world? Anyone hiring entry-level analyst position? Thank you!!
Hey Deloitte fish, in you experience working at Deloitte, how flexible are the working hours? I’m looking at working in CBO. For instance, I need to pick up my daughter every day at 330 so an ideal working schedule for me would be from 630 to 3. I could always hop back on later in the day if needed. Have you observed that type of flex time? Also any insight on where Deloitte is headed regarding hybrid work. Thanks!

Looking for book recommendations. I recently read Untamed by Glennon Doyle and want to read something similar.
Hi all! I would love to hear your thoughts on coffee dates. One friend says they’re too low effort, another says they’re a great way to meet someone without too much time investment. I’m personally torn on if I should accept them or not. Knowing there’s no “right” answer; what’s your perspective on them (or any equivalent)! Any good or bad stories?
Asian women help? I realized my lovely parents have been emotionally abusing me because I’m single. I’ve dated a few people despite not liking them but eventually those people treated me poorly and I almost had anxiety attacks when I turned 33 this year. Parents are great but this is one area which I think they’ve overstepped. I told them recently that in addition to the bad men I date, they are giving me pain and I can’t take it. They said I’m being selfish and speaking therapist lingo. Feel 😭
Two Asian women were stabbed in SF waiting for the bus. The day before, two women were attacked with a brick in Baltimore. The day before, two women were attacked with a hammer in NYC. So despondent that this is happening during AAPI Heritage month and nothings being done.
Tips on how to cheer yourself up when you feel alone and tired? Been thinking about taking a vacation by myself but I feel like that might just fuel my emotions about feeling alone. To clarify, I feel
Can introverts or people with anxiety succeed in consulting? I work at a consulting firm and I get so much anxiety throughout the day just thinking of having to engage with VPs, C-suite and people that are so much smarter than me. Like what am I even providing advisory for? I envy/admire my colleagues who just “get it”… sometimes I’ll stare at the screen bc I’m so overwhelmed. I’m also fairly introvert and constantly worry that people think I’m an idiot, unskilled, low value, etc. Today sucks 😣
Hi ladies! Need some advice on what to do here:
For context: I live in Texas and work from home.
I put in a request with my apartment to fix the ongoing air issues in my master bedroom. The maintenance guy showed up without a mask. When I asked if he could please put on a mask, he left, returned and stated that they are still waiting on masks and isn’t sure of when they’ll be getting them. (Cont. in comments)
Those who have reunited with an ex and stayed together, what happened? I know this isn’t the most common result but that’s why I’m asking - I’d love to hear stories of when it worked and how the two of you fixed things! How long were you broken up, who reached out, how did you address what didn’t work last time, etc!
At what point (if there was ever a point) did you and your parents have a conversation about finances? What accounts they own, how much may be in them, how much you may be getting? I'm East Asian in a family that has never talked about finances in my life, but when my dad passed many years ago, I was made aware something would be coming my way.
How to deal with a BF that has a cush job, lotsa free time, low standards for housekeeping? I have the exact opposite scenario and get very minimal help. When I complain, he says I get stressed too easily and that I am nagging. I showed him articles about silent work, how women have to work harder etc. We live together, don’t have kids and can’t imagine the burden when that happens. I believe in ‘coaching’ but tired of trying.
Would this be a deal breaker for you?
Hello . We have a women’s meet up group at work. Could you recommend any group activities (either in person or virtual)? Example: We could go to pottery class or attend a class on executive presence .
I’ve practiced and practiced interview answers, created stories using the STAR method, but inevitably in the actual interview I always freeze up and forget everything/fumble over my words 😭 Even harder for me in virtual interviews. Do you guys have any tips for me? Anyone else struggle from this?
The weeks are stressful. Friday nights I usually reward myself with a couple glasses of wine or drinks and my husband always makes comments like “why are you drinking?” “You’re such an alcoholic”. I’ve told him the comments bother me and yet it continues. I only drink one or two nights a week so I don’t get it. No one to ask if this is normal or to talk to. So just venting to all you ladies.
Any experience with lazer hair removal? I’m tired of waxing at this point, but I’m skeptical if anyone faced side effects from doing it? Also, any suggestions for doing it in Jersey city?
Can we talking about dating coworkers?
So I'm the idiot that went for my first wedding dress fitting 6 months before the wedding 😔 they took measurements and kept the dress and I have my next fitting 2 months from now. Am I totally screwed for going in so early?
Opinions please! So I am in a Fortune 500 company as a Sr. Manager. I’ve been here about a year, but am doing the job of a Director. My boss rarely shows up for meetings where there are VPs and I am the only Mgr in the room. Also 2 ppl on my team quit and we are also in the midst of a major integration. I have great visibility and a Cush job but just got offered a Director job at a mid size org (privately held) for $75k more.
i have been working in industry after graduation and want to switch career. Consulting is my first choice as i like fast learning, team work and experiencing diff industries. I’m getting into 30s, not sure it’s too late to join as I didn’t have consulting firm background so may need to start from junior level... also worry if I can’t get career stabilized by 35, there will be higher risk during pregnancy. Alternative is look for job in another industry corporation... any advice, ladies?
