How does one find production and props assistant jobs in LA? My uber talented just graduated college and is super eager to get her feet wet! I am going to try to hire her myself when I can, but I’m in SF, so I’m hoping to direct her to some useful resources down south. Is there some sort of job board or website where PA’s find work or is it kind of word of mouth?

What would you say to an agency, if they told you the job was yours if you got within budget, that it wasn’t a competitive bid scenario, then worked with you for two weeks and several meetings, to firm up a detailed proposal, assuming an award and sow and kick off... only to reveal there was a lower bidder. At the very least, it means I’ll never work with them. But I’m not sure what to say, really. It’s like they managed to find something worse than ghosting. They lied and took us for a ride.
