How does one find time to study when you work 50-60 hours a week? Any suggestions?? REG is next

Those who have returned to a law firm from being in-house - what was your experience like? If you hated a firm the first time, was it better the second time around? I swore I’d never go back, but seeing the newest round of BigLaw raises and salary increases I am genuinely considering it - I’m getting married and planning for kids shortly, and would like to buy a home in our HCOL city, and while I’m not starving on my in-house salary and am fairly frugal, I don’t feel like we have much cushion.

Hi everyone! I’ve been a Retirement Representative for two years, with a HS Diploma. I am having a hard time being able to grow in the company, along with other gripes I’d rather not go into. What jobs in finance can I apply for without a college degree as long as I’m willing to get the required licensure? (That I would have a shot at getting hired).

At what stage in the lateral hiring process do you tell your current firm about an offer if you’d consider staying for a retention bonus? I understand you have to accept the new offer before the conflicts process starts; are you only telling your firm about the move once conflicts clear, such that staying for the retention bonus involves reneging on your acceptance of the new offer?

Currently in big law employment lit department, but interested in potentially doing government-side work in the future. Is it common for attorneys to go from big law to the EEOC, state departments (like CA DFEH), or DOJ Civil division (employment)? Or is there usually a step in between (e.g. clerkship, plaintiff’s side work, etc.)? Thank you!

I failed my first exam and now I am having a difficult time gaining the focus and drive I once hard to study and seat for another… did anyone went through that same thing or similar how did you over come that? How much easier would it be to study for the CPA while in a full time 2 yr MBA than if you’re working full time in PA?

It's one thing to realize that you will be losing credit for FAR. It's another thing when you wife gets mad at you for losing it even though a lot of sh*t has went down over the last 18 months.
