How does one go about setting up a home for corporate rentals? Who do you talk to? Are there brokers that specialize on that? Is it worth the effort versus regular rental?

Correct if I’m wrong , but a lot of FIRE strategies involve eliminating debt, lots of savings, & investing the money in the markets & rental properties.

Shouldn’t owning a business be one of the key components?

Any financial advisor recommendations in LA area? Pretty early in career but have around 200k in investable assets and expect (hope) to increase that over the next few years. I am coach for someone in the USDC. I was talking about the pension and I was told that they only get the 401. I looked at our 401k plan and noticed the match is very poor. The match is .25. So basically if a practitioner makes $100,000 and gives 6%, then D only puts in $1500 annually. This is horrible and if I was being honest then I would advise people to look to a company that cares for their future. I googled average matches and Deloitte is not even close to the average.

All I want is to aggressively pay off debt, earn a bit higher paycheck, be more balanced and consistent and reliable, improve my health and take better care of myself, and not almost exclusively dread my job. And some time to socialize. These all seems fairly simple… but i am still struggling to accomplish this. It’s downright nerve wracking and frustrating.

After 7 years of actively managing my portfolio I have concluded that simple boring index funds are way to go. I did well in tech stocks but have some I'll times entries and exits which kinda took down profits. Do you still believe actively trading would produce better results. I have learned quite a lot in process but now I don't think I would be able to give same time when life gets busy with higher roles, kids etc. Anyone have been successful in managing their portfolios and beating indexes.

I am feeling down. I make $113k and my retirement savings rate is 20%. The amount of money that hits my bank account every month is $4100. I bought a $230k house, which I thought was reasonable for my income. My mortgage is $1850 and my utilities are like $300/month. So my housing cost is like 50% of my take home. Then when shit breaks, (water heater, roof etc.) It's like I can't get ahead. I drive a cheap car, I don't go out to restaurants,at all but life just seems to cost more than $2k/month.

Serious answers only please. What are some ideas to educate my parents on anti-racism? They are visiting US for the first time and their reactions to different races feels unnatural. But more I talk to them, it feels they are ignorant. Has anyone dealt with this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Anyone else get annoyed when a group chat is just sarcastic banter? Call me lame but I’m in one that has evolved to people just roasting one another, and I don’t have the energy (or quick wit) to keep up.
