I don't understand the Deloitte cell phone expense policy. $200 for equipment? Doesn't Deloitte pay for our work phones anyway without having to expense? I remember just being given one when joining
How do I ask my manager for a promotion? Or when to expect it? Im still quite young in the company but i think I do good work and i work a lot. I'm scared he'll say I'm too young
Hey fam. Appreciate your inputs on this: I used to be a software developer and currently work as a tech risk consultant (CISA, CRISC certified). Have completed a couple of cyber courses but do not have prior cyber experience. Most cyber sec job postings require prior experience in cloud, aws, devops etc. Applied to a couple of roles but no avail. A) Can I start a career in cyber security without prior experience? B) Will CISSP or relevant cyber certifications help?

What are your personal financial milestones? Whether it be achieving a certain annual salary or maxing out your 401k contribution annually, etc.
Applying to T15 in R2. Currently have a 700 GMAT (43Q, 41V) after taking once. Even if I raise my quant to 47, which would be impressive for me, I’ll still be at a 700 (possibly 710). 3.6 undergrad GPA. Worth retaking? Or just focus on the rest of my applications?

Is the dating app industry growing rapidly, and are there any companies that are worth considering?
I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued
I have a lead on a great paying Sr Business Affairs role. Can do fully remote. DM for details.
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
3 YOE in Federal PMO work and feeling burnt out constantly. What are some good companies to apply to as a Project Manager?

So I love my coworkers and my boss, and I don’t want them to think I’m unhappy but I do need a raise. Is it off putting for me to go to them and say I got another offer? I just feel like it’s a little awkward for them to know I’ve been going on other interviews
Salary negotiation Applied to a job, agreed a salary expectation of £125k to £135k. Discussed range as achievable on two separate occasions. 3 interview rounds later, offer of £106k. Strong pushback from me on the call and a follow up note. Awaiting a revised offer. Any thoughts on that strong a lowball opening offer? I am both irritated and intrigued.
Hello, I wanted your opinion on the importance of professional connections within the tech community? How many of you got your first tech job because of a connection? I am really trying to get into tech, but I do not have any professional connections and I am wondering if this is really important for obtaining a job. I have a master's degree in digital history and a AS in Web Design and some websites (although I could use more) and I am not sure why I am getting no calls for interviews.
I am interested in getting my SHRM-CP certification this year and I was wondering which study methods and materials worked best for those of you who passed the exam. Also, what are your roles in HR?!
Did anyone have a their H1b lottery picked and approved through a different employer while working with Deloitte and transferred back to Deloitte after H1b approval
