How does R/GA get away with being political on Twitter? I’m surprised IPG allows it.

Chapin. Year hear that? You’re woke!

😂😂

Because it’s R/GA. You can’t mess with R/GA or W+K, they are always “Right.”

Yes, some leaders at R/GA are more liberal. And our Twitter feed does have a life of its own. But what's happening now in the country, with unmarked security forces firing tear gas and driving cars at peaceful protestors, and a president trying to postpone the election, is outside the norm of party politics. Defending democracy, and the safety and freedom of citizens, isn't a party political thing, it's an American thing.

Of all hold cos I’ve been part of IPG has been the most... woke? We’ve gotten away with a lot as well.

Bob is extremely liberal politically — he’s an old deadhead — and he doesn’t care what people think. It’s in the DNA.

Nike isn't exactly going bankrupt right now...

Yeah it’s interesting that an IPG agency takes such a public political stance. I don’t think any other holding cos are calling for things like defunding the police.

I am a POC and have enjoyed the diversity of colleagues that I have met in consulting so far. When I look at websites of PE firms, I see primarily white men from Associate all the way to Managing Director level. Why do you think there are these structural differences? Do PE firms not believe as much in diversity of thoughts/lived experiences? Do you think that consulting would provide more advancement opportunities than PE does for a POC, given the structural differences?
