Typically you have to use 5 sick days as a waiting period before STD starts. Once the STD kicks in, you typically get 6-8 weeks (depending on vaginal or c-section delivery) paid through the insurance program. Then any paid parental leave from your employer kicks in after that. Talk to your HR or Benefits person who should be able to help.
Each company has different policies in my experience. My current company requires STD be taken prior to using maternity leave. There should be a document within your company’s internal webpage that breaks it down
You mean short term disability after you give birth? It’s 4-6 weeks, 4 for vaginal birth, 6 for c-section.
There you go- diff firm by firm and/or state by state. Not THAT diff though..
