How does the org structure work in banking? Looking at a strategy VP role, but not sure if it would be right given my tenure and they don’t mention minimum experience. Would a VP be at a Manager or Consultant/Associate level?

How much are firms currently looking to hire within the advisory practice given there may be signs of recession? Will it be easy to internal transfer to MC with an above average rating?

Any advice on how to request a 20% raise? This is my first career out of college. I signed my offer letter knowing that I was being underpaid by 10%, as per the posted position salary. My 1-year appraisal is close and I would like to request 20% based on an increased workload; I would also like to make up for being underpaid my first year.

My dilemma: Many companies only pay up to a 4% raise. However, that will not cover much in this economy, and I would still be still underpaid.
