You will have better WLB internal, you will work with smarter people (on a average, not across the board) in front office. Less because of ‘elitism’ or any nonsense, but because of visibility and accountability tied to difficulty hiring and retaining talent in each area.

EY2 it’s hard to teach the soft skills outside of hands-on experience and the gap only gets bigger as careers progress.
If the technical skills transfer easily and the candidate has good refs, it’s quite feasible.
But some practices just won’t find qualified talent internally because the range of skills isn’t as robust due to business need.
Some folks may need to make a couple of moves to give time to develop certain skills.
