1 month before!

like

Depends of Mgmt company. Doubtful they’ll let you sign that far out. Typically 2-4 weeks prior. Even a month before is kind of rare. Too far out. A couple/few weeks is probs average

like

You’ll only find two months before if you’re renting from a coop owner in a building with a lengthy board approval process. Most rental buildings sign leases about 3 weeks before move-in.

Most apartments are one month before. Have all of your paperwork and security deposit ready to go.

Thinking of moving to Houston, among a few other places. Looking to buy a house as a young, later 20’s professional, with things in walking/biking distance. What are some areas, either up and coming or established but not way out in the suburbs to look at? I know Houston is very spread out and a car is necessary etc, but looking for a good neighborhood with action within arms reach.

Looking to sublease my studio near Lincoln Center. It’s in a luxury doorman building with top amenities, modern kitchen (separate from the bedroom), and in-unit laundry. The location is great: close to 2 subway stations (A, C, B, D, and 1 lines), 10 minutes walk to Central Park, 5 minutes walk to the Riverside Park, supermarket is in the corner. My lease is up to the mid of Mar’22. I love the building and just move for personal reason. I can send you pictures over. The monthly rent is $2,200.

Hi all (but particularly the well-dressed men of Fishbowl), I need some new office shirts and a winter overcoat.

I’d appreciate recommendations for brands or stores that sell strong-collared white shirts (that don’t require a tie) and/or overcoats.

Thanks!

I recently moved into a new place that has windows with metal frames. I noticed that now in the winter months since it's cold outside the window frames have a lot of condensation and everything is soaked. Has anyone experienced this before? Is this normal or should I be telling like the building management about it? I'm scared that it might ruin the wood and paint around the area.
