Joined ACN last month as a SA in CDP aligned to CFO&EV with clear intentions to transfer to strategy. I understand I need to "pay my dues", but my first project is a complete flop in terms of my goals and utilizing my prior experience.

Received an offer to join a boutique firm that deals primarily with MM PE firms. Pay is slightly higher, work seems much more interesting and intense, but the firm is very small and unknown. Is it reasonable to pursue ACN strat or leave for this firm?

But pragmatically (especially as one advances in their career), does it make sense to spend that much on rent even if you can afford to? I’m in my early 30s making $230K base salary. No partner, kids, or debt…but also no substantial savings. In my shoes, how much would you say is practical to spend on rent?

Just rolled off a project and about to take a week of PTO. The twist is I have an offer that I plan to accept beginning in June. How should I play this so that I’m not doing more than I absolutely need to but am also not burning the bridge?

Got the following offers on the table:

1. Big 4 - Manager, $180k + $20k sign on, told a good expectation is 12-15% bonus next year. 1.5% 401k match and 3% pension contribution. First year cash would be around $225k
2. New, well funded advisory arm of an established business - Engagement manager, $210k, 20-25% bonus. 2.5% 401k match. First year cash closer to $250k

Big 4 is a defined path with history, reputation, and exits. Other place is largely unknown but a lot of comp.
