How exactly are coffee chats used in the consulting recruiting process for MBA recruiting? Is it true that for McKinsey coffee chats aren’t evaluated when extending first round interviews?

All Wharton Applicants: did everyone's recommenders get a thank you note from the Adcom? It went something like this: "I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to reach out very quickly to say thank you for writing xx a letter to the Wharton MBA program. I just read it, and I can say it is one of the most through , descriptive, and supportive recommendations I have read this cycle......... I have tried to google this but views are inconclusive. Both my recomenders got the same exact note.

Should you mention you checked out LinkedIn during an interview? Such as “ I saw you worked on ___ account at ____ agency”or “I noticed you got an MBA from ____, I’m an alumni there as well”

What graduate degrees do you have, if any? I want to get my MBA at some point, but thinking about a degree in innovation prior to that. Curious to see what degrees fellow practitioners have or endorse

Why I love being in industry: I presented a deck and I misspelled "EBITDA" in the exec summary while presenting to the exec team. No one noticed. No one called me out. No one gave me a nasty glance. No one sent a "pls call my mobile" text after. No email with some stuff about "not meeting expectations" or "how could you let this happen in your role". After the wave of panic, I remembered that I'm in industry now. I make more money, work less hours, work with great people, I'm happy.
