My husband is an alcoholic and it’s getting worse with the holidays. He’s started every day drinking high alcohol-content IPAs as early as 8am. And he drinks them all day and all night like soda. He did AA when he was younger but is now vehemently against it. He is high-functioning. Has a PhD from MIT and works for a venture capitalist firm. I wondered how he gets through the day, but he started to come home early (mid-afternoon) and immediately open a beer while working. What should I do?

Originally interviewed for Community Relations Coordinator for set asking salary of $65k. Now owner wants to change title to Branch Manager, increased responsibilities, but primarily still CRC role. Same salary and now will decrease to $50k after one year with an increasing commission rate. The idea behind this is motivation to earn more than set salary. At this point, I need the income and am not planning on staying longer than the year, if that. Is it worth negotiating? Any advice welcome.

1 month here and im already starting to hate this place… I’m the only POC in my office. My “mentor” is a dickhead. The work is boring as hell. There’s so much autonomy it’s almost like a lack of guidance and I feel like I need more one on one time with a supervisor to become a better attorney. The partners are always so busy I have like 5 minutes max before I’m being politely pushed out of their office..am I at the wrong place, in the wrong profession or is it just 2 early to tell?

I currently work at Deloitte as an entry level analyst in the tech space (almost at my 1 year mark). I’m also attending GaTech for a masters in analytics in hopes of pivoting to a data science role. I have some personal projects down, certs and boot camp experience as well. Anyone know of any good internships to hit the ground running. Looking to be in FAANG within the next 2-3 years.
