This is my first time working with a client using the COSO framework. Before elevating my inquiry to my seniors, I would like to confirm my understanding of how this exercise works.
Prior working papers are telling me that client should establish its compliance with the five components of the framework, correct? How rigid should I be in performing this?
To be fair, I was provided with a reading material but it’s a pretty hefty read.
Thanks for any responses!

I’d be leaving a great company after less than 1 year, but I’d get the chance to upgrade my leveling (perhaps even mgmt) with the bonus of getting experience at a FAANG company. I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?
Taking it to the next level. 🎂😅
This is so reassuring!

It isn't the distance from your apartment, but the distance from your "home office" - if that's still 60+ miles, you probably have a case, if not, you're probably screwed.
I've gotten hotel for commutes that long. It's about effectiveness on a long term basis. It is in the expense policy but I've also explained it to the PPED and gotten the OK
Hotel @ $150/night is less than 1 hour of your bill rate. Keep dinner reasonable and the case makes itself. You'll be on site more with the team and be a better contributor.
OP - that info should be in the expense policy if I'm not mistaken
^if the commute is that long, definitely reach out to leadership to see about options. That really sucks
Yeah you may need to watch expensing but it's a long commute and cuts into productivity/burnout
Tell the partner it impacts your ability to bill more hours
I'm planning to ask the Partner for permission to book a hotel. I haven't talked to the team yet but I'm assuming part of my appeal is that I'm "local." I was looking for the specific policy that outlines this situation but I've been unable to find anything. Fingers crossed 🤞
