^second. I usually let them know as soon as I book the flight but I would avoid giving less than one months notice unless it was just a Fri-sun vacation
Ideally, I would like a heads up at least three months in advance and a reminder one month and one week out. At the one month to two week out points, you should line up coverage if needed or possibly needed. I usually ask associates to put their vacation on my calendar so I know to try really hard not to bother them.
Edit: Obviously, emergencies and stuff like that are different to vacations.
I started mentioning my vacation in casual conversations like 3 months prior to the trip. Told the assigning partners a month prior to avoid being staffed on anything around that time. Sent an email reminder to the partners I work for 2 weeks and then 3 days before my vacation. It seems excessive but because of this, I had all of my matters covered and didn’t work at all during my week vacation.

If there’s no closings or anything important those dates, then it should be fine
