Are alternative investments a good area to get started in? I’m making a career change from insurance and like asset management, possibly at Northern Trust. They have openings for alternative investment analyst and I wasn’t sure if that is a recommended area to start in or would that not allow for growth? I'm pro-choice and have been for a long time, but I understand pro-lifers. If you really considered a fetus to be a baby, then you'd see abortion as the same thing as killing a newborn which would obviously be horrible. The main debate is whether or not a fetus is human enough to have rights, which is debateable even by scientists, which is why abortion deadlines are so arbitrary (6 weeks, 15 weeks, etc).
