I worked at a small firm for three years. At the outset they told me that performance reviews were annual on a fiscal year ending in September. I would just ask the most senior partner if they intend to schedule annual reviews for this year since you haven’t had one in over a year.

Sounds like a good plan. Thanks!

In same boat as OP. No raise this year allegedly due to uncertainty caused by covid, then come to find out firm did as well last year as some of the immediate preceding years and partners knew it when they told me no raise. Pretty bitter.

I think an associate, or any other employee, should try for a raise every year. If you have annual reviews that is a natural time to broach it. If you don’t have annual reviews then ask to meet with your boss a few months before the end of the firm’s fiscal year. Of course, go into the meeting prepared to justify the increase you want, and then it won’t look like you are asking out of greed.

If someone can verify this? I have seen so many posts here and on Quora too, that TCS release the salary structure breakup after the interview rounds, but do not send the offer letter, even after acceptance of salary. The HR person won't deny you on the face, but keep on delaying that offer letter release would take time. Is this true? Do a reputed company like TCS make such fake promises or raise false hopes in candidates?

I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist, but am I the only person who thinks the mass publication of the Omicron variant by the media was due to traditionally low viewership during the holidays? As overall viewership falls in a post-Trump era and waning COVID numbers, big media has to be a little nervous about audience retention.

There's a lot of backstory to this but I can only type so much SO I've been with my company for 10.5 hours and just found out they've increased their base pay for starting employees $3-5/hr. I have received my annual 3-4% raises, only because I always make sure to ask for it, but nothing more. They didn't even acknowledge my 10 year anniversary with the company and it's a pretty small company (less than 100 employees). I feel I should get a $3-5/hr raise since the base pay was raised. Thoughts?
