Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft

Brand manager on the client side is not a brand strategy role in my mind - it’s more account and business strategy... I’d say that writing skills are very important in brand strategy but less so for client-side brand management (because you’ll have agencies and research teams writing for you).
broadly agree with prior head of strategy post. brand manager role could encompass a lot of skills depending on current brand situation & needs. eg is the brand controlled rigidly from the centre or is there a ton of local market adaptation needed? is there hyperactive new product innovation or are other growth levers more important? is global strategy and brand idea in flux or settled for the moment? are competitors broadly the same from market to market or wildly different etc etc
great writing skills often matter less on the client side than generalist/collaborative skills. but it does also depend on where the brand is in the cycle from major top down global overhaul to more local market driven bottom up optimization....
@HOS/CSO if you’re currently a planner and interested in going client side, what’s the best role then? aside from strategy at their in house agency as most clients don’t have that.
A bit background: not a native speaker but started learning English since I was 9; marketing research/analytics background, but interested in having a broader marketing role in the long term
