How much do ECs really matter? I basically have none, but am thinking of applying for b-school in a year.
Do they decorate for the holidays where you work? I work at a pretty large hospital and they do the eaves and the trees outside, but I'm thinking of making some paper snowflakes and maybe getting a mini tree for the nurses station. Good idea? I don't want to offend anyone just thought it could bring some holiday cheer as corny as that is.
Listening to Hannahlyze This Podcast where they had the girl from How to ADHD. Feeing slightly inspired to deal with my ADHD again, let’s see how long it lasts https://bit.ly/2Nd2wk3
I do L&E for a mid-size boutique and have been here my entire career (almost four years). I am unsure about making the move to a L&E specific job in big law. My hours are fine and my pay is okay (not great) but I don’t know if staying is the right move because I’m not sure if I’m selling myself short career wise long term. Any insight is appreciated.
Has anyone written CAIA and found it to be useful? I'm not planning to move into portfolio management but would like to learn about alternative assets more. Company will pay for me to write it

Last year I told my class about my partner and it was the best decision ever made. My admins, students, and parents were supportive and had no affect at all. I can’t wait to share my loved ones each year and how I joined a Varsity Gay League Kickball team as well. I even have parents interested in creating a team. So thankful for the community I teach in❤️
Please don’t ask us producers to triple bid ANYTHING right now. There are so many guidelines and unknowns. I’m not going to waste 2 other production co’s time with this nonsense. Don’t care if you require it, this is a unique time we’re in and you brand clients should understand. What used to take 2 weeks from award to a 1-day shoot will take longer. We will need backups: think crew and talent - what if they show up on set with fevers? It’s a whole new ballgame to be planned out.

Anyone else pursuing a masters degree while simultaneously teaching full time? Any tips/tricks/advice?
All teachers need to organize (not with NEA or any other union) and take back Education from politicians as self serving groups. Unions have a financial reason not to improve education, politicians have no understanding or concerns about their blanket programs. I am not a baby sitter, I am an expert in education, and as a teacher I should decide the best course for students.
We are hope. 💛
Good morning! Looking for some great morale boosters for our staff. What has your Admin or hospitality team done to show appreciation, increase the fun level, and generally make you feel good? We don't have a lot of money to buy gifts, but I would love to hear your ideas, regardless of the cost. I'll figure the $ out! We have done breakfasts/lunches, bought t-shirts for the staff, had a snack cart that we brought to each teacher's room, etc. Any other great ideas out there? Thanks so much!
Am I just having April blues or does anyone else feel like it’s going to be hard to return to teaching next year? I’m feeling severely burnt out, to the point of struggling to finish the year.

Serious question: How do you stay calm on the outside (for the kids) when you are freaking out on the inside???
Very interesting article. Thought I’d share.
Maybe a percentage of our students who appear to be disinterested, unmotivated and dysregulated are really struggling w long-Covid. Maybe we’re missing the boat?
Doctors say even youths with mild or asymptomatic initial infections may experience long Covid: confounding, sometimes debilitating issues that disrupt their schooling, sleep, extracurricular activities and other aspects of life.
I'm just going to put this here for everyone.

I've personally never really understood the teachers who say they don't take it seriously. I'm pretty hardcore about it, since at the end of the day, it's how our students are evaluated. For me, it's less about static preparation, and more about making sure the test permeates everything I do. So for example, I'll make sure a portion of a student's homework is questions from the test. I'll also make sure there is a weekly test prep question or unit we discuss (winner gets a prize). So I take it pretty seriously.
It’s important to get students into the practice online tests to learn format and online tools. That’s hard to do with the tech, but we roll.
