Signed an offer with another consulting firm. Linkedin recruiter got back to me for an interview with a role I’m interested in but the pay will be 10k less base and most likely a much lower TC. I’m a boomerang employee and a friend of mine noticed that my company posted a similar job description to mine on indeed 10 days ago. My boss didn’t tell me they were hiring another person in our department (small department - 4 people). Should I be worried? Should I bring it up to my boss? I’m really stressing myself out over it. After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"
