How hard is it to find a job after getting fired from big four as an associate?

I gotta ask, how the hell do you get fired as an associate? YOU ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW NOTHING.

like

Not hard at all. I know a lot of associates who have been fired and they’re all really happy with their jobs now.

Reach out to the HR and see if you can "resign". Do that immediately. If you have handed in the laptop, call the HR tomorrow and try to negotiate this. Sure they will add a shiny memo in your personnel file. This way you can play the voluntaryily left card in interviews. Then be sure to ace the interviews!

Good luck. This sucky phase will pass soon!

Sooooo what’d you do to get fired?

Have you been fired?

I know 4 people that were fired as staff 1s, they all found jobs relatively quick, albeit they weren’t the most desirable ones. One chick is now an accountant for state government... I think it really matters how you spin it, as your firm will never confirm that you were fired.

I would assume so

I have a concern about an ex co worker whom was fired at the beginning of the week for poor attendance. Before being fired she was harassing me constantly sending me paragraphs of why she was mad at me and then would come in hug me and kiss my cheeks and apologize & then do it again. This happened a handful of times. She has come into work everyday since being fired just walking around. She has been texting my friends making up stories about me. Is there anything I can do? I thought it was over.

Can a law firm in CA rescind an offer if background check reveals an omitted employment history? Worked at a firm for 2-3 months back in 2019 that wasn’t a good fit. Not fired but left to really drive my career in a better direction. I now have an offer from a great firm and scared background check will affect my chances.

Looking for some insight. I recently got laid off from a growing start up. I loved the culture, the product, & they actually promote their people. I’ve been an BDR for a year at my previous company & then only a month at this one. My goal is to become an AE but now I’m wondering if that’s what I want. Ive been in tech in the Bay Area for 2+ years with previous experience in data management. Thinking of rebranding & getting into partner marketing or anything to get me to 6 figures. Thoughts?

I need to perform well after months of bad performance for 6 months to not get fired I'm scared but want to do it impossible?
