I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp. I have a Masters and 8+ years working in an external relations role in a hospital. I have since moved to the payor side. Would it be valuable to pursue another graduate degree (MPH or Dr PH) in order to advance in the payor world or would more education actually hurt my chances?
By advancement, I mean I would earn the degree and then try to find a job at a competitor. My leaders either don’t have graduate degrees or they don’t seem to value them.

Is an exec mba from a tier 1 school worth it if I already have a full time mba from a lower ranked school.

Not sure what's wrong with these new age / gen kids who just finish graduation and follow it with a tier 2 mba degree and then after 1-2 years in an entry level service based role start asking for strategy consulting roles in interviews, i mean its okay to try, but one should learn the required skills and then try, not the other way round!

Wrapping up an MBA this semester. I expect to finish with a 4.0 if that matters. Been self employed running a small business for the past 2.5 years, but the industry is going to be struggling for a while. I’m 1.5 months delayed in getting my recommender a gift, what should I get him? I got into CBS but I don’t want to tell him the news before giving his gift for fear of sending the message of “hey I got in, so now I’m grateful and here’s a gift”. Can a B4 Asian male without a top gpa have a reasonable chance of making it to H/S? It seems that almost nobody with this profile makes it, even if they do everything else right.
