How hard is it to go to Goldman Sachs from advisory or audit at a manager level?
2 people from my advisory group (Banking and capital markets) now work at gs in IB. Another friend of mine was in assurance and she’s now in ib there too. They love b4 regardless however I will say they all knew people there they didn’t blindly apply.
I’m not saying it’s common or easy I’m just saying it’s possible and if it’s something you genuinely want to do with your life then don’t give up.
In what context? I interviewed for an accounting role with them (ultimately turned down the offer) but wasn’t very difficult all things considered .
I’ve heard comp for accounting / finance roles aren’t that great and it’s a bit of a sweat shop from people that have turned them down
What role at GS? IBD front office? - zero chance unless you have some serious family connections but you would have used those already. Ops/finance? Not overly challenging and something people do all the time
If your in Risk Advisory/Risk Assurance could be possible
If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
