Veteran | MBA candidate looking to pivot into D&I strategy. Thoughts on general HR vs diversity recruiting?
Applying to McKinsey & Company & Boston Consulting Group be an associate after being a SM1 at PwC and SC at Deloitte. Below T20 MBA and worked in FDD and DDV at D and PWC. Do I have a realistic chance to be interviewed? Does it make me look too desperate?
Had a convo with an MD at a bank about mba associates off cycle (not graduating in may) basically said off cycle candidates for an mba associate are hard to hire as they will not go through the modeling boot camp, and will most likely not have prior transaction experience. Any tips for working on those gaps Only thing that comes to mind is a modeling certificate from training the street.
Anybody here from cma startegy consulting. Would love to connect to learn more about the company. I like the space it’s in and looking to apply. Also appreciate if anybody is willing to provide a reference.
What would be a reasonable total comp to exit into medtech or health tech corporate strategy role at senior Manager level? The next level above is Director. Credential is MBA and PhD and 3 YOE post MBA. I’m assuming there is a discount compared to Pharma but is that true? I am thinking base + expected bonus should be at least $210k. Is this too high or low?. Thank you for your insights!
There's an old joke in VC financing that to estimate an early company's valuation multiply the number of engineers by $2m and then subtract $500k per MBA.
After seeing all these posts here, I am wondering why I have never been approached by a recruiter on LinkedIn - NEVER. I work for FAANG, previously with a large tech company, ex B4 SM, I have an MBA and MS from t25 schools in US, and 7 certificates. Have decent amount of information on my profile, a professional pic and other sections are filled as well. Looking for advice on improving my LinkedIn profile. Happy to DM and share the profile with anyone who is willing to help. TIA.
Is it worth throwing my hat in the ring to be an ABM with 1.5 year agency experience and no MBA? Really want to try something new while I’m moldable, and be compensated properly for my drive and abilities.
Hey team - would appreciate your feedback I'm currently a SC at Guidehouse making ~$100k. Very bored but considered a strong employee and on manager track. I have an offer to join D GPS as an SC with 20-30% more pay. The work would be similar. If I stay at Guidehouse I would likely apply for an MBA in Fall 2021. But if I join D, that would delay an year and I would apply in Fall 2022. What would you recommend from MBA and career sense? At this point, I'd be applying for an MBA at age 31/32.
I have a work experience of 3 years 1st year as software engineer in Capgemini Then did mba Then 2 years at wipro as Functional consultant Now i am plaaning to switch I also have frm level 1 certification How much hike can i ask in my new company?

Considering pursuing FRM certification. Currently in FS and don’t have a background in business/finance (studied Econ). Would FRM help bridge the subject matter knowledge gap?
Hi all, has anyone in supply chain taken one of the certification exams? (CPSM, CPSD, CSCP) Does it help in any way besides refreshing contents about supply chain? I was thinking might be a good way to strengthen my resume (most of my career in investment analysis) but not really sure if it really brings that much value. Any insights appreciated. #supplychain #cpsm #cpsd #cscp #education #certifications

If it is about the money for me to leave should I say it if asked? I am getting a 40% raise at another place and that is the only reason I am leaving. If asked should I say it or make stuff up? I am not good liar and I know my manager is very good at trying to "fix" things not money related.
I haven't taken a single vacation or sick day in over a year. I'll lateraling to another firm next month (pending conflicts). Would it be in poor taste schedule a vacation prior to giving my two weeks notice? I love my group and I don't want to burn bridges.
I think I’ve reached the end of my consulting rope…I worked every night last week until 2am, every day there’s another ridiculous fire on this engagement, and my manager just called my client “fuck-tards”…I just want to move into tech to a pm or process oriented role, but I can’t get out of consulting fast enough

Comp communications are coming up. If I am unhappy with my raise or VC can I push back? Have you done that successfully without feeling like it gave you a bad reputation? My raises and bonuses have been good in the past and maybe I was naive but I’ve never thought to ask for more.

Just got audited for expense and they are saying that I'll owe approximately $3,500-$4,000. Has anyone ever gone through this process before? What generally happens next?
Just started at the firm a month and half ago and snapshots are already happening soon. How important are they? I’ve had pretty low utilization, so I’m kinda nervous as an experienced hire
