How hard is the PMP exam ?

What types of prior jobs / positions / experiences are highly valued when looking for other opportunities? What would be some good things to exp before leaving Big4?

What’s the next move when you’re this age, at plateau of career, not going any further and burned out, but have to work for at least 5-7 more years? Would love to hear from those who made a fulfilling move.

For those who have obtained the CFF certification:
I was asked to put together a working plan to obtain my CFF credential. I’m aware of the 2 certificate program (Core and Specialized) through the AICPA that will lead to the CFF. Does anyone have experience in how long it would take to complete the certificates and if there are other necessary or helpful study materials that would be useful? For background, I’m 6 months into working at this firm and have touched a variety of cases.

Pivoting from five years of insurance defense litigation at a mid-size firm to family law in a small/boutique firm (3 partners and about 4 associates). Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I equate a book to autonomy and career choice and pressure is on.

Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work.
