Well, nothing is impossible, but safe to say you will have odds stacked against you.

Better chances if you were in tax

Depends on your network

If you're talking about deal-side roles, it would be something that is extremely seldomly achieved. Internal functional / support roles would be much more likely

Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!

Told an intern at my firm in a different group that reached out to try and join my team that he should be prepared to work 60-70 hours. He smugly laughed and said everyone he knows at our firm works that many hours (we are a B4 and it’s certainly not the case). Then he proceeded to tell me he leads a 10 person workstream. Then he asked me to refer him to managers to get him transitioned into our group. Posting so others can also get a kick out of this.
