I’m in NJ too and we’re hoping to have our former nanny come back next week to help. I have two kids in elementary and homeschooling is killing me. I’m struggling with helping them with school while getting my own work done. I’m working until midnight almost every night. She’s a college student so I asked her about her comfort level and told her to discuss with her mom. Now that camps are also cancelled, she will watch kids over the summer too.

I would bring mine back in a heartbit if she was ok with that. She has some underlying conditions.

Also, I meant Memorial Day.

We brought our nanny back this. She lives alone and has her own car. We asked her to take a covid test before coming and asked to follow the same quarantine rules we have been.

The lack of guidelines around this is enraging. It’s basically what one person can cobble together from what they believe to be the best sources—so far I’ve got that your sitter should only be working with your family and it’s better to pick someone younger.

Does anyone ever take sick days?

Received an offer 2 days ago. While on the call with the recruiter, I asked if the base can be increased to my initial ask. Recruiter mentioned they would follow up. I followed up the next day and thanked them and said I’m looking forward to hearing about my ask. I was supposed to respond to the offer today. Followed up with my recruiter who mentioned another person will follow up with me as they are taking medical leave. Continued..

Anyone know who did the front end design of the new Bonvoy. Makes me feel sick. It’s like an 11yr old got to play with fonts.

Living by myself for few months now since family is in India. I was sick last week and none of friends/neighbors cared to drop, bring some food as support. Felt very depressing that I am surrounded by selfish assholes who don't care about friends or care to help others (inspite of me helping them when they needed it most)

New hire in consulting, been working for about three months. Thinking about getting a medical card. Would it be a bad look for me to show a doc’s recommendation to HR with only a few months under my belt to avoid engagements that require testing? Should I wait until my work ethic is a little more establisbed at the firm? For context, this is my first job out of college so I’m pretty gung ho on making a good impression

I’ve been in a fog lately due to being sick/tired and made a simple error today and haven’t been connecting the dots as I usually do. My team has noticed. What should I do? I’m beating myself up.

Cheating soon to be ex husband took the day off for the other woman’s birthday to take her on a day trip. I feel sick. I still love him and shouldn’t. Just needing to vent this and if anyone could send good vibes my way, I’d be so thankful.

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My investments below:
* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?
