I have joined TechM on 5th of November.. after having these days HR is still not reachable! I have sent the email to one HR and he has looped other HR and no one is reachable at all! I completed a Loop for an AWS PgM position and the interview team completed their debrief today. After the debrief, the recruiter reached out to schedule a follow-up call to discuss results without providing much detail. Does this mean I can expect an offer or do recruiters call to communicate the decision regardless of yes/no on moving forward? Amazon
No ask for the increase based on the market and be willing to walk away if you don’t get it. If they value you as much as you value them they will match.
Concerns/thoughts: I think I would just be borrowing from future raises and wouldn’t see similar trajectory going forward so somewhat short sighted, although I don’t see myself necessarily in consulting for an extended amount of time. Also would obviously have to be willing to walk away with other offer. Does this leave bad taste in firms mouth?
No you won't be borrowing from future raises.
If you don't speak out the assumption will be that you're content with below-market pay. And going forward, you'll likely remain paid at below-market levels.
