Within my company, I’m one of few peole with a TS. I benefit because although I have less decision-making power for which projects I’m on (if it’s TS, there’s a good chance I’m needed), I get to say no to projects that don’t interest me. I might have 1-2 TS projects, and then my pick of the litter for the other 1-2

I’m torn - any advice? I lead a great team whom I love in an organization/environment that is terrible. I have an interview lined up at another company to go back to individual contributor work, but just the thought of leaving my team makes me feel sick to my stomach. I love serving my team, but I can’t shake the feeling that my current company will never actually change no matter what I do. Do I stay to try to make it as good as I can for my team or show them it is ok to move on? Thoughts?

Hi All,
I had left Capgemini sometime in late 2018. Is it possible for any current CG employee to share concerned department contact number ?

I started having wrist pain in the fall and it has flared up a lot recently. My PCP and a hand surgeon both said they had no idea what it was, since the location of pain was inconsistent.

folks with wrist injuries: how have you coped? I feel lost without a diagnosis. I stretch and I take breaks and I have ergonomic equipment, and still I am in pain. Any advice is welcome, as are any sympathies or commiserations

Trying to evaluate monetary offers is difficult since I receive a significant bonus for maintaining my clearance (120k + 30k for the clearance). So I’m evaluating a non-cleared offer for 180k. I don’t want to hold the clearance anymore. Should I evaluate it against the 120 or the 150 in terms of answering the question “is the jump big enough to leave?” With bonus and without clearance, it’s a 40% or so jump, but only a 12-15% jump with only bonus and base included.

How long does it usually take to start to get in the groove with a new job where you feel like you can actually start doing work? I started a new job on Monday in the cleared world and am having a bit of a career pivot so I’m learning new tools and programming languages on top of the company and customer admin/IT, and program stuff. I’m trying to give myself some grace but I feel bad that I’m not up to speed yet. Is this just imposter syndrome trying to take me down?
