It depends on the company you work for, you can't just convince any small or medium company to make that kind of investment into their employees. Check your workplace's policy on continuing education and see if it's something they offer. Otherwise you'll have to look for a job somewhere else, just make sure they offer education funding before taking the job
Worked at a major company that highly valued education and was willing to provide it for employees who they deemed good candidates to pursue a PhD. You can find out if they do this during the job interview process
I managed to get my PhD funded but it came with strings attached. I had to do it part-time while still working basically full time. I would not recommend it honeslty
There are a few different ways that someone might be able to attain a funded PhD from their company. One way would be if the company sponsored the person through a program like the Rhodes Scholarship, maybe ask if your company can do such a thing.
I know a friend whose company offered to pay for the person's tuition and living expenses in exchange for them working for the company after they graduate. He ended up working with them full-time and has been there for 10 years.
My company provides a scholarship specifically for PhD students. I am actually getting mine right now, and they've been so helpful for me. Ask if your company has any programs that you could take advantage of.
Please provide the names of your company. I know GSK, Pfizer and BMS all offer industrial Ph.Ds but you have to work in research and they decide when you can publish.
