Give it some time. Time will heal everything
Therapy, change of job/city, journaling, music, food, time, prayer, talking to a loved one, more time, and more time.
Praying to God a lot worked for me and then allowing myself to feel however I feel instead of pretending that I’m ok when I’m not. Hang in there!
Therapy, time, prayer....being really gentle with myself. If you are a prayerful person, the Abide app has sleep stories that have worked wonderfully for me in the evenings when I am trying to sleep but my mind is all over the place. If not, the Calm app is excellent. Create a mental health routine and stick with it. Do not disturb has been abused on my phone but I have a set bedtime and a set time to wake up, work out, work, then bed time. This has helped me to not get bogged down with thoughts of my losses. I highly recommend a mental health routine.
EMDR has been a crucial piece of the puzzle after a traumatic birth for me. It’s exhausting and I sort of hate it, but the emotional weight of the whole thing has just decreased dramatically. I can still look at what happened and go “wow, that was so f’ed up!” but it doesn’t derail my hour, let alone my day or week, anymore.
