How helpful is the FMVA cert to transfer to IB with very limited deals & fin modeling experience from risk consulting?

A little help please… 😓

I’m currently an AE who feels more like a Strategist and wants to pivot to a JS role. I’ve told the SLT at M&C Saatchi and they’re responding slowly (I’m now working hybrid roles on current projects/love the clients & people/got given a small pay rise) but they’re also telling me it’ll take time & it’s rare for an AE to become a JS.

However, I’ve potentially got a JS job offer with Anomaly (London). Do I stay and grow slowly, or do I go and get the role I want quickly?

What east coast business schools are ideal for people who want to grow into creative strategy in the entertainment industry?

I have no idea what a “dream job” is or what “I love my job!” looks like. Every job I’ve ever had, I have never loved, parts of it maybe, but the work a as a whole, never. I’m not sure that I will find my true calling, opening it up for ppl to share if they love their job and how they got there. Keeping in mind every job has bad days / weeks. How do you know when something is for you?

2Y MBA here will be joining McKinsey next year after graduation. I just got an email from McKinsey HR saying my background and social media checks are cleared. However, it is also mentioned in the email that aside from the MBA degree verification after my graduation, “a reinvestigation may also be required If your initial background screening has cleared more than 60 days prior to your start date.” Do they really do background checks again? It takes a long time lol.
