I don’t think it’s important. So long as your work is focused on employment issues, most companies don’t have employment specific in-house counsel titles.

Im a lower senior with expected graduation in December. Currently pursuing a double major in finance and econ. I came in to this major very late, I have a good resume of past experiences but none finance relating. I really love the field and I aspire to enter into an analyst role either in IB or PE once I graduate but I realize that im immensely late for a summer internship. Would anyone happen to know of any openings for this summer in NYC that would be a good resume boost for an analyst role?C

Funny how some firms have analysts at entry level that then get promoted to consultants, and others vice-versa. Wonder if it affects exit-opportunities at all 😛

Do you think transitioning from FDD to IB is worth it, knowing you don’t want to stay in IB long term? How much better are the exit opportunities? Is PE obtainable?

My parents act extremely needy and constantly guilt-trip me for moving out of India. They literally said that they didn't get anything in return for raising and educating us. Isn't it a parent's responsibility to raise their kids? Honestly, they lose my respect every time they do so. I understand if they need more help and support and I'm willing to provide them that, but if they expect me to live with them 24x7, I just can't do that. I've always wanted to live on my own and away from them.
