Try Pilates. I have joint instability and Pilates is great for that because it builds muscle while being low impact on joints. I started one on one with a trainer for like 1.5 years to make sure I really knew what I was doing to not hurt myself and now (in non Covid times) I can do group class just fine because I know what’s good for my body. Highly recommend Pilates for anyone concerned about joints.

Regularly exercising will help more than a trainer. Building up a little muscle and increasing mobility will help a ton with your issues. Trainers are great for getting you started, but if you know what you need to do, try working out alone or with a group. It will save money and be more flexible time-wise.

Trainer is definitely better than figuring things on your own if you can afford the bill.

+1 for Pilates but you do need to do privates before you join a group class. Group classes can move quite fast and you need to know proper form, breathing, body alignment and modifications to prevent injury.

The Kayla Itsines Sweat app just released a low impact exercise program specifically for people who couldn’t do jumps (for whatever reason, be it that you have bad knees/joints or you live in an apartment and can’t jump around due to neighbors or roommates or lack of space). Highly recommend. It can still kick your ass.

Agree with the Pilates rec but would add look for a studio that offers Pilates with a reformer. If you are looking for a less expensive option, swimming is a great option.

Try cycling, rowing, walking, and swimming. PTs are hot or miss and can be expensive too.

Does anyone know what can be done for erroneous negative reviews on health grades or similar websites? There’s a patient who wrote a review about me and I checked months worth of notes - I never saw this patient. Not sure why they wrote the review but I wish it could be removed because I’m worried it will affect my future career prospects. Thanks!

I’m doing my best to support her, but sometimes I become a punching bag and it can be really hard to keep my cool. With that said, despite the job security of a clearance, would it be better to consider looking at commercial consulting roles?
