Is it worth it to go back to school for a graduate degree even if I’ve been in Compliance for 10 yrs? Or obtaining certifications is a better path. Don’t want to spend 50k on a degree like a Compliance one that is really not going to do anything for me salary wise. Thoughts? Thank you!!
I have a question regarding freelance recruiters/headhunters. If I have already reached out to most agencies as well as other headhunters, can I still reach out to more or is that not cool? I’m eager to find something and was thinking the more help the better but don’t wanna step on any toes or so.
Can i ask for 100% hike in kpmg?
What’s the norm in your firm for Dubai based consultants travelling to clients in Abu Dhabi. Do you budget hotels or take cars everyday?
I got 50% hike in Infosys however in accenture, I got 20% mid year hike and 30% hike promise in Dec'22 to match Infosys. Should i stay in Accenture or move to Infy? which company is better?
Big 4 M1 tax salary in the Minneapolis office? Am I underpaid at 110k currently? Not able to leverage big4 transparency data. Appreciate if anyone could share their thoughts.
Our temp who has about as much experience as me but is definitely not as good at getting things done told me that he makes $115k while I’m just making 95k. I spend so much time teaching and training him. Almost as much time as I spend doing my own work. Been at the company for a year. Learned so much since I started and invested lots of my own money into more tech training that the co refused to pay. Is it realistic to get up to 115k soon or should I find another job?
In May, I learned that I would not be getting renewed due to COVID. I spent all summer worried about the future and what would happen if my diabetic husband got sick. I ended up getting a job out of state with a district and a governor that takes things seriously while my old zip code is a major NYC Covid Hotspot that the governor put under major restriction. I’m so glad I am where I am now.
Short 8,000 bonvoy points for a quick getaway, any ideas on quickly earning or should I buy them? Anyone used the Points Advance option before? TIA!

Obstruction of justice, due process, etc. call it what you want. We got a crook in the White House. White House has issued formal threat to Bolton to keep him from publishing book
Job application got leaked to boss so I got an ultimatum: I stay with a fixed term contract or I leave with a 4-month notice. I see no benefit to this contract & find the notice unreasonable.
I appreciate going from uni dropout to Senior Account Manager in 5 years even though I work unpaid overtimes under immense pressure. I explained I was just curious, didn't want to leave & even with a dream offer I would give them at least a month's notice but they wouldn't have it. What should I do?
Can I negotiate for a longer pre-approval period? I live in a hot market so likely will take longer than 60-90 days to secure something. Or does the pre-approval auto extend without a bunch more paper work?
I have had 8 internships, 3 at large agencies and I am now a year from when I graduated college. I was just informed there isn’t room for me (again) on a team. Am I un-hireable? Is there still hope?
Used to rejection and I don’t let it get me down, but with the job market being the way it is—should I put my plans to get into tech on hold? I was thinking maybe construction sales or even possibly recruiting. I’m hesitating because of the nitpicking from HMs and recruiters for “job hopping”. Do I stay the course and make a move into tech for next gig or wait until things stabilize more? It’s really difficult right now with the candidate pool being so vast in tech.

For those working in sales with ARR, what is your commission structure/payout? I am an AE for a SaaS startup and my commission is 7%—- but it’s paid out quarterly as it accrues based on customer invoicing. I think you can do the math and understand why I ask.

Hi all - I am a Sr. IT Internal Audit Consultant at a medium-size firm and I'm exploring Sales Engineer roles as a potential exit opportunity. I'm wondering if anyone else in this bowl has an IT Audit background and would be able to offer me advice on how to make the career switch.
Thanks for any advice/guidance you can provide!
Has anyone made the move from vendor side to an existing client? A client I closed is hiring and I think I’d be a great fit. However, I know I need to navigate with care. I love the product I sell currently, but my company was acquired recently and comp plans changed. Any advice on doing this in a tactful way?
Hi all. Was just laid off along with a few other people from my company, after 18 were laid off last month. Looking for a sales position, over 20 years of sales and account management experience, the last 3 in tech. Tech roles have included HR SaaS, Logistics/ eCommerce, and recruiting SaaS. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I’m in Sales, but brand new to tech sales. I had a resume person help me - gorgeous cover letter too that showcases my skills.
I keep getting rejected for lack of SaaS experience. What can I say or do to get my foot in the door? I am confident that I can crush it but not even getting past the gatekeeper at this point. It’s a blanket “ we need someone with experience” and I’m trying to not get discouraged.
Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.
What are some “typical” career paths for Account Executives other than working up towards the largest enterprise AE roles. After being in sales for 6 years, I’m relatively naive to any other than “leadership” and wonder what other options to consider are out there. I’d even be open so some not so typical ones that people have enjoyed/found success in. Thanks in advance!

Hearing about hiring slowing and freezes at the big SaaS companies (Meta, Salesforce, etc). Curious if anyone knows if these are planned to be short-lived (sure that’s always the intention) and if applying to positions still posted is recommended? TIA.
