Hello! I just completed my masters degree and I’m looking for positions in the medical device industry. I’m currently working as an intern but I’m trying to secure a full time role. I’ve been applying and following up with recruiters on LinkedIn but no response. Any advice on how to land an interview with Abbott Stryker Corporation Smith & Nephew Boston scientific ? How long does the hiring process usually take ?

I can't help but cringe when someone says "science is boring." How could you think everything that exists is boring?!
Maybe I'm splitting hairs, but I really prefer to think of it as ourselves existing inside of science rather than the other way around; we are subject to its laws and have no way of escaping, the best we can hope for is to learn how to exist within the confines of its reality.
We would not exist if it were not for our ability to understand science on at least a very basic level. Infants are born with a fear of falling that is instinctive, and they also instinctively know to hold their breath when they are under water. It's inscribed on our DNA and I think that's just amazing
Not only around us, but inside of us too. Do you even realize how many lifeforms call your body their home?!?! Weird, alien-looking creatures that we depend upon for our survival, and vice versa. Just look at a few histological examples and it will blow your mind. My current favorite (if you can call them that) are cercaria, the microscopic fishhook-shaped creatures that cause swimmer's itch when they burrow under your skin. Awful and fascinating all at once
