How intense of a model should I be expecting for a growth stage firm’s modeling test (think ICONIQ, Spectrum, Summit)?

Should I be preparing to make one from scratch? Have no idea what to expect and their instructions are incredibly vague

Example: We are 10 months into COVID and my firm still hasn’t decided on/implemented a video meeting platform (Zoom, Teams, etc.). So if I want to have a video meeting I have to ask the other party to use their video services. And it’s not at all a funding issue.

I am thinking about moving to a startup as chief of staff after 2 years of post MBA consulting experience.

Anyone have anecdotal benchmarks for what I should be aiming for in terms of pay etc.? My TC this year was ~£110k

Hi fishes i received offer from legato but cognizant now revised notice period to 90 days will it be possible to get the change in joining date from legato side?

My new employer sent me a work laptop and today in an onboarding call, the HR said that all employer laptops have an ActivTrak monitoring system and anyone who is away for more than 20 minutes will immediately get a call about less than a number of hours. I am thinking of buying a jiggler mouse which keeps moving on the screen so that it keeps the status active but I'm not sure whether the laptop can detect this or not. I don't want to work under anxiety of this stupid rule. What should I do?

My family mistreated me when I was younger, and now that I don’t live at home, they don’t call or bother to look for me, because frankly, I think they have a hard time admitting what happened - and will never apologize to me either. If I don’t call, or occasionally go see them during the holidays, we would never talk. Some of them are growing old (health-wise), and I’m scared this entire situation is just irreparable. Has anyone ever gone through anything similar? Any advice or thoughts?

Just curious how long does it take to hear back from a first round interview at an MM PE shop? I have a lot of processes lined up at the moment and want to know if I should get back to them cuz I really liked the firm and would love to finally drop the recruiting blitz

I’m a PE ops VP at a larger fund. Currently making $350k cash comp with about $1M carry at work per fund. Realistically, what would I be looking at in terms of cash/carry comp increase if I were to be promoted up one level (one below partner).

Received customer data across quarters and am supposed to figure out the “start and end date” or their subscription. Is there any formula that can do this easily? An issue I’m running into with using just “if statements” is if the customer doesn’t start the service till a year in.

Any insights on which formulas would work best would be rlly helpful

Joined an UMM fund a few months back and things have been pretty lax and we haven’t pursued a new platform yet. I haven’t really got to fully own a workstream yet and instead am more task focused and just do what my VP tells me. The PE culture is sick. The 20 something VP was rude to our partner because our team took thanksgiving and the day before off and it was in the engagement letter that we were gonna be off. He kept emphasizing that his team did our job while we were on a break. Dude we are not sick like you and we have lives. I see something about how s**t the PE culture is in every deal we support.

Like these sickos make fun of us for working 80+ hours weeks for them and taking thanksgiving off.

May only be in this new ASC role for ~1y (personal circumstances). This would make 3 roles in ~3.5 years ( T2 consulting -> MBB -> buyside) out of undergrad. Long-term want to be entrepreneurial / do early-stage investing (Partner-track at a fund), have clear rationale for previous and future moves.

Is this an issue or am I overthinking? Thoughts?
