I have only been at my company for 1year, changed roles once and I just networked with an executive level staff that would like to open a role for me on their team which is directly in line with where my real career interests are. I could see myself spending the next 5-10years growing in this new role. Any suggestions on whether or not to pursue this role? My employer heavily encourages networking internally and taking charge of your career path but I don’t hate my current job and enjoy my team.

“[driver name] is hard of hearing” notification when booking an Uber/Lyft, then driver proceeds to have lovely conversation over blaring music. Since it happened a couple of times already, is there a chance they are not hard of hearing and are just exploiting some loophole in Uber/Lyft’s policies? Genuinely curious to either find out something new about hearing disabilities or figure out why you’d pretend to have one.

As per the trend in Current "Great Resignation" even big MNCs are facing offer rejections and it is very hard to onboard IT employees because everyone has multiple offers, Only those companies have some advantage who supported employees well in Covid period.
Employees were in fear of job lost, and maximum IT organization's took benefit of this fear, now they are only facing maximum offer rejections.

I recently attended an interview with KPMG and cleared the technical rounds. I was promised 11.5 lpa fixed and now after clearing technical rounds they say 11 lpa fixed. The HR was also not ready to negotiate. During the technical rounds, the interviewer was straight forward and said there will be lot of work pressure and appraisal will be once in an year. My YoE is 2.9 years. Is it really worth taking such an offer ? Any suggestions are appreciated
