I was approached by recruiter for Senior Manager level IT position at PWC . Can someone give me insights What is "IFS - Internal Firm Services - Other" at PWC ? Also , how the work life balance is for IFS ? I am fully remote currently and having good work life balance. I worry about working at Consulting firm with offshore/onshore model & you have to put more than 10/12 hrs a day. I will really appreciate all the details you can give including salary range/benefits / hikes etc

Hey folks. 3 YOE, working in tech at a great company, and making 135K TC in Austin. Have an admit at Columbia and received 30K in aid each year, so I anticipate paying 110K in tuition. With cost of living in upper Manhattan, estimating an additional 35K each year, so 180K total cost. I want to stay in tech post MBA, but explore faang companies and product roles. Is this worth the cost? I figure I could make a jump in comp at least?

I’m currently looking at making a move but am finding that the small firms are continuing to expect face time in the office. I’m at a mid size firm but the salary/billable requirement is actually better at these smaller firms. Am I crazy to require a hybrid schedule moving forward? The argument for in person thus far is it helps boost the lawyers to bounce off ideas off one another and helps if there’s an emergent issue. I’m practicing 9 years so I am not a newbie to practicing.
