Anyone interested in joining on a trip to Morocco and Egypt this december holiday break ?
Does anyone else find it ridiculous that firms require a minimum daily time entry? For example, my firm requires us to bill 6 hours a day, whether or not it’s billable work, we have to have a minimum of 6.0 in our time entry system every day or we get flagged. If we’re on vacation we have to pre-bill 6.0 a day. Why the hell do firms do this???
Kicking off a week of PTO with moving. Never thought this day would come so early, taking PTO to *adult*
I feel so stuck in my life (28F). I just want to find my person and start building a life together. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to. I just want to create holiday memories with my new family and instead, I’m looking at another season with my dysfunctional as hell family. I know a negative attitude and comparing myself to others isn’t helping me, but I can’t seem to lift myself out of my funk…
ACN: Can charge to central training instead of pto if I'm going to take classroom training and certification?
If you work over the firm shut down.. how do you charge your hours? For example if I worked 2 hours, would 2 be client and still 6 holiday?
Any former Slalom 🐠 know whether unused PTO is paid out when you leave? I assume yes but don’t wanna ask and reveal myself as on the way out lol. Thx
I haven’t taken any vacation (other than one day here and there) all year. I’m taking two weeks off at the end of November and just told a partner and he was shocked (presumably at the length). Is this a faux pas?
What do you do when you legitimately have run out of PTO because you’re sick a lot? I take prescribed medication that weakens my immune system but don’t want to explain that if I can avoid it.
To all you lovely 🏳️🌈 fish, wishing you a happy, healthy and restful holiday season filled with love❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Why do people continue to decline calendar invites without citing a reason? Why can’t you join? Are you out on production? Are you at an edit? Are you on vacation that day? WHY?!
H1B stanping question - I just got my h1b renewed, but i need to travel in december to Asia and likely the place im travelling to will not return my passport before i have to return to the US due to christmas and new years holidays. If i go to Toronto, Canada before this and try to get the stamp before asia trip can i work while im getting the stamping done? Or is that illegal? Im afraid of taking too much vacation time across both trips.
Thinking of booking a last minute beach vacation with a toddler. Any thoughts on the following resorts? I am particularly interested in hearing from anybody that has been to...
I’m a mid level lit associate. Headed out on a vacation tomorrow and feeling guilty leaving my case team behind who are all drowning. I know vacations need to be respected, but is it ok to feel this way?
PwC 🐟 my rewards summary page shows I have holiday balance of 8 hours. This means that I messed up and didn't charge holiday hours properly last year right? How can I best use this 8 hours now? Cont.
I got my first full time job back in March 2019. It’s my dream job in terms of work, team + industry. (I work for a travel agency doing their social). The only downside is the PTO. (Cont)
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
I did not realize how underpaid I was at my current firm/ position until I started applying for my same position elsewhere and saw the base starting salary at some companies/ other firms is around 10,000 more than where I’m at salary wise in my current firm (62k, HCOL, Senior Associate 1)
What would you do? You interview with a team at an agency. That team says No, not enough experience for us. Then abut later another team calls you in and boom you get hired, everything is great...
The waiting after you interview is the absolute worst. It's hard to judge how well you did. I doubt they make calls past 5pm on a Friday, right?
Anyone got any advice for FP&A interviews?
Has anyone made an exit from consulting to product management? I would like to do this but don’t have much experience. Would love to get advice on what training or books I should focus on to get a general background.
Hi fishes, i joined USI 2 years back in EA ( global finance, data analytics) at 5.6 , got a 15% hike this year means i bearly beat the two year inflation and now take around 6.8 . At 4.5 years of experience i feel my ctc is quiet low and i do not have any hopes of corrections that are due in dec. What are my options guys, manager says my salary is already very high for an analyst.
AA concierge key vs UA Global Services. Which is better? Anyone have both? Does Delta have something similar (invitation only status above top tier)?
Has anyone interviewed for a data specialist or product development position at YipitData? Looked over Glassdoor and saw there is a substantial take home assessment. I wanted to see if anyone could verify and share their experience. Thank you!
Part of layoffs today 😡
Using TSA PreCheck and Clear Check is a God send... was running extremely late, Clear Check got me through the security line in less than 3 minutes... I'm not sure they have Clear anywhere but ATL tho
Genuinely curious since I’ve never been in this position- how do you proof to the recruiter that you have a competing offer? Just verbal, or do you show screenshots of the amount written in the other offer letter?
Hi! I have 200k cash, 600k worth of stocks, 401k and husband works full time. I would like to start investing on rental properties with cash flow so I can quit my 9-5 job and spend more time with my 2 small kids. Which areas are great for cash flow and landlord friendly and any tips or things to watch out on investing in real estate?
Have a bunch of emirates skyward miles that I won't be using anytime soon. Can I transfer it/use it someplace else?
how much is everyone contributing to 401K? i’n currently at 8% and feel like increasing would squeeze m a bit but considering because of future gains.
Has anyone in this group spent time at SAP, left to work for a big4 SAP practice or similar then boomeranged back to SAP? If so what was the experience like/when you came back to SAP was it for a significant pay/position increase?
