How is it like working for EY Core Business Services (CBS) in Finance? Salary? Growth? Hours? Exit opps?

@EY 2- sarcasm? I’m guessing (and hoping) when it comes to the bonus talk. I get what you’re saying with vacation (CBS folks can take off pretty easily depending on position) but CBS raises and bonuses are far lower than client serving. That being said, I went from client serving to CBS and I love it so much. 40 hour weeks, can actually use my vacation days, I work from home, and I actually enjoy my job now

Well, from my perspective it looks like a f'n cake walk in in CBS with bonuses and vacation. For us client serving drones (that actually bring in the revenue), we feel duped bc CBS runs the show.

From my understanding, very slow growth. You only get promoted if there is a need. Do you can be a senior for 10 years without a promotion to manager

like

@EY2. Complain much. Everything including the review system is geared for client serving. It looks like it’s easier for us to take off cause our teams all have our cell phones which ring non stop. Funerals, school plays, vacation. Nothing is sacred unless you make it so!

Also - anyone know salary of the people consultants!

EY 4 what is your position in CBS? Also how did you go about transitioning from client serving to CBS?

@EY4 I work in the Talent group. I actually found the open position on the EY career site, and reached out to my People Consultant to find out who the recruiter for the position was. From that point I worked with the recruiter to set up the interviews and go through the process. Pretty easy interviews, huge benefit being an internal candidate. The hardest part was just having to tell my team I was switching.

Ball park what do pc’s make. Have heard 100-180

@EY1- depends on the level (assistant director, associate director, etc) but that range seems alright. But the 150-180 range would be reserved for lead PC’s. Also I would say lower ranks/newer PC’s might be a tad under 100 though.
