How do you calm yourself down after a fuck up? It wasn’t anything to make or break the case, and the partner admitted that the outcome likely would’ve been the same whether I messed up or not. But can’t help but worry that she’s complaining to other partners and someone will be calling me soon to have a talk.

Oddly specific but did anyone in the NY 2nd dept have to wait forever to get through C&F? I’ve been waiting almost 5 months. Maybe this is normal but the 1st dept seems to get people admitted much quicker.

M&A lawyers, what are some best practices you’ve picked up or expect from your juniors? Lateraled and realized my training on these “expectations” was sub-par. Thinking of things like: updating checklist daily, following up if seniors haven’t responded to questions, running and circulating redlines as soon as opposing counsel’s comments come in, setting calendar invites for any filing/notice deadlines, etc.
