If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Awesome. More money, less work, no busy season, no overnights
If you jump, make sure the job fits you.
I spent 7 years in public and loved it. But I needed a better work life balance so I left about 6 months ago. Honestly, I'm home by 7:30 every night and make great money...but I don't enjoy the work I'm doing nearly as much as I did as an audit manager in B4. So I can't say grass is greener..just depends on what's more important, $ and work life balance or actually loving what you do.
At what level did you leave and what role are you currently at? TBH just a bit nervous that the grass is actually not greener on the other side
Going to the same office and doing the same exact work every month made me want to jump off a bridge. No overnights for me in public either...
The ability for flexibility especially during the off season for shit like WFH is much less common in private too.
Wfh?

I went director to director, more money, no stress, better hours. Definitely will be harder to move up the chain farther but I think I will be happy at this level for quite some time. Expect to stay at the same level for a while when you leave.
I spent 6 years in public. Enjoyed it while I was there, learned a lot. Got tired of not getting compensated to work the long hours. Moved into consulting. Total comp increased around 30%, maybe more. Don't go to the same office day in and day out. Work on client projects that can span anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months on average. Bonus is based directly on hours billed so I actually get directly compensated for putting in longer days now. Work life balance also greatly improved.
Yeah if I could leave to another job later on that's project based and involves not going to the same cubicle 8-5 daily that'd work for me. Not going anywhere for a few years though.
