Hi! Happy to answer this. Our tax offering is in its 3rd year and booming. We are doubling the size of our team this year. Happy to chat more if you’re interested.

Overall- the goal is for hours to be manageable during tax season and have WLB. We timely filed all but 40 returns so really only have one true busy season. End of year is for year end tax projections. We only do 1040’s and basic trusts so don’t have to worry about businesses and entity work. Team can be fully remote during tax season and then we offer a flex schedule 3 in/2 out. My most recent hires all came from Big 4 and have commented on how relaxed it is and how nice it is to not have a continuous busy season.

Growth wise- I think right now this is the most exciting part. We’re building an offering and whole new aspect of the firm. It makes the growth opportunity huge. As anyone in tax compliance can attest, there’s so many avenues tax can expand to which gets me excited to see where team members can take it. It’s also a great opportunity for learning and development. You work closely with the financial planners, advisors, and estate attorneys. I think it makes tax compliance more exciting because we do so much planning around it.

That’s a lot but feel free to PM me if you want to chat further!

Hello all
I am a biology graduate. I worked in cancer research and development for more than two years. Recently moved to Canada, and now I'm wanting to transition into clinical research.
Most jobs I find online ask for atleast 2 years clinical experience.
Does anyone have any tips on how to procure this experience? Should I invest in a course? Or should I volunteer at a CRO?
I recently got offered a clinical admin position, would this count as clinical exp?
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I hope life is treating you well.
I recently moved to Ottawa from Louisville, Kentucky, and I am looking for an accounting job in Ontario or Quebec. I have work experience in Tax& Finance and an MBA in Accounting. I was wondering if any of you could refer me for an open position in your company ( after we’ve had a chance to talk, of course) or put me in contact with a member of your hiring team.
Please let me know if any of you would be comfortable doing so.

Thanks,
Sarah
