I recently got approached by the HR team of an external company with a job opportunity that appears to be attractive from responsibility/job function perspective. It would be a huge boost to my career growth if I got it. He already scheduled the initial interview with the hiring manager for me. I keep thinking that they are using me to get an internal candidate promoted. I know for a fact I can do the job fabulously btw.Thoughts?

What’s going on in Atlanta this weekend

My parents paid into life insurance for me since I was a baby. Now, it’s at ~35k, but I can cash out for about 4k. I noticed that the interest is really minimal but I can’t remember the rate. What is the value of keeping it vs cashing out now? Context: I’m Canadian, and the reason my parents did this is because my mom found out she had health issues in her 30s which made it impossible for her to get affordable life insurance later in life.

Does anyone else feel disconnected with their coworkers? Since COVID hit, I feel like we are all working so hard to stay afloat, no one chats or gets together with others outside of their teams. Teacher Lounges or Lunch Rooms are nonexistent due to social distancing. Honestly, if I didn’t have my Paras, I’d feel isolated.
