Long story short, joined a tech Fortune 500 company a little over a year ago as an entry level analyst and things have gone downhill with COVID (limited growth here but got exposure). Looking to start new with a startup as I grew tired of the ethics of a larger corp. I have no network as it stands in tech startups, don't come from a target school (although I graduated with honors) and at a loss of where to start.

Worked for a late stage startup that was acquired by a public tech company ~1 year ago.

Have an offer at a Series B startup (raised funds in Aug 2021).

Is now the wrong time to make a move back into the startup space from an established company?

I want to start a dating app but my cofounders and I have no coding experience. I have a plan but would like some feedback to see if it’s unreasonable. 1. Validate idea through a bunch of market test and create a layout on figma 2. Hire developer to make app. 3. Hire team to continue to run app. Does this sound reasonable? How many roles do I need to fill for when hiring the team to run the app?

Any suggestions (or books or articles) around taking startups from smaller (50-100) to the 300-500 range? Would love to read more about challenges that usually come up at this stage and how people navigate them. I just joined a series C and want to be prepared to navigate things.
