Hi Fishes, I have offers from PwC(risk advisory) and IBM(app development). Thing is that the PwC joining is at Kolkata location but I don't want to go there and stay. There is not much difference between the offers in terms of package(10 & 10.4). Can I ask PwC to provide WFH or change my office location for this? Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated
New to fishbowl can you all spread me some likes
Hi all! I am former federal government. I resigned due to lack of opportunities and growth. I am interested in a couple of Apple service roles within Pay, Care and SDS. Also, Amazon PM roles under Music, Live Sports and Brand Protection. However, with to the current economic conditions is it smarter to focus on fed roles versus Tech. I’ve never had a Tech role. I have a BS Mechanical Engineering and MBA. Any advice would be appreciated.
Many who repatriate are lured by a vibrant startup scene in India that is drawing unprecedented capital from venture and private equity firms and is buoyed by an effervescent market for stocks. But they are also disenchanted with what they perceive as America’s bleak and hopeless immigration landscape, where the wait times for green cards are tortuously long, and the limits on launching startups for newcomers are highly restrictive.

Worst fucking keys ever. 7 inches by 2 inches. Obnoxius
It's good- has a two story gym with free weights and barbells (unusual and awesome), a drybar, a ten over ten nail salon, and a spa in the basemeant, also burger joint is great and Norma's is an amazing breakfast ifnyou have the time. The walk to the subway isn't bad either. It's my preferred hotel for midtown. The w Lexington is closer to everything but shitty shitty shitty.
Better? How? One side of it has been under construction for over a year so jack hammers go off at 7am. The rooms are so small you can sleep, pee, and shower simultaneously. They never recognize status in any way. I mean it's close to stuff so I stay in the winter when I'm too lazy to walk but --- no it's horrible
Choppt is across street
Frigging Burger Joint in lobby rocks as does restaurant for breakfast
Pool on roof
The burger place is fireee
It's in policy, right now at least
W Union Square for sure. Personally I liked W Times Square better too. Obviously Chatwal or St Regis if you can. I've heard good things about Gramercy Park too. Westin Times Sq is a decent property but a really annoying location.
Burger joint off the lobby is absolute fire though
Best thing about Le Parker Meridien is the view north across Central Park. Other than that, the midtown W (Lex) is better
I like the attached gym
The biggest thing people are leaving out is its central AC so you can't control your room temp..
ok. a bit inconvenient elevators
I like it but usually upgraded to a junior suite
Cool rooms. Love the swiveling TV. Wasn't crazy about leaving the building for Starbucks in the morning because I couldn't get coffee in the room
Will be there as well :)
Overrated. Better SPG properties IMO
How are restaurants/bars? In case I'm lazy 💁🏼
No mention of BGR yet?! BGR makes a notably good burger, and is literally a hole in the wall, basically behind a curtain. Cash only, walls covered by celebrity notes. Lines usually, but moves teasingly quickly.
Hey D1 which ones you think are better just curious
