CISSP CPE question: Does anyone know if a Udemy AWS cloud practitioner certification course can be leveraged for Group A CPE credits on ISC2? Udemy provides a certificate with hour totals, but I didn’t know if ISC2 frowns upon these courses.
Hi all! I’m an MBA Candidate with 3.5 years on H1B. What consulting firms are still hiring internationals among MBB and Big 4?
Do you guys think MBA programs next year will suffer from a lack of international cultural diversity since many international students may have to defer?
Thoughts on working in admissions for a top 20 MBA program? Want to eventually work 100% remote and feel like a move to admissions consulting would be super easy after 5-10 years.
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
Hello Fishes I have recently completed my MBA program and I am looking out for a job in Finance profile and I am having 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable profile. Amazon FLDP vs Gartner Consulting (post-MBA level). I am worried taking Amazon will close the door for consulting in the future. Amazon comp - 130k base + 80k sign-on bonus (~45k first year, ~35k second year) + 100k RSU (4 year vest). Gartner - 125k base + 15K EOY Bonus + 10k sign-on bonus. Do I pass on my hopes for consulting and chase the money?
Hi peeps, Can anyone please give me a review of Mckinsey's Periscope team ? Is it worth for non MBA guys to join mckinsey ? I am mostly a tech guy and am worried about becoming stagnant in mckinsey because there is less emphasis on new tech.
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Looking to switch from Audit into another career path. However, just not sure what that would be. My long-term goal is to become a forensic accountant (minimum 10-15 years from now). Studying for the CPA exam, and once that is done I'd like to sit for the CFE exam. Current interests are in the private/corporate accounting industry (cost accounting, possibly tax, etc). Thoughts? Suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

What is it about law that glorifies morning people so much? I am NOT one and wfh has been so great for me in terms of being able to set my own schedule, but now that we’re starting to go back to the office I’ve noticed some pointed comments about people not being in by 8am. I bill as much (generally more) than other associates, so why does it matter if I start at 9 and work late?? I’m finding it hard to go back to the arbitrary-feeling 8am office start when I know I’m not going to be productive.
Accenture 🐠 - any insight into the base / total compensation I should expect as an experienced hire (3 YOE) Strategy Consultant? Just want to have an idea of what I should go for! Thanks

Neither of my parents have a 401k, investments, or savings. They have nothing. I want to help them retire at 65 which would be about 15 years away. I’m looking to put about $15k/ year until then into an account for them. A couple questions i have though: 1. What type of investment account would be best to maximize? 2. Once gifted to them, will they be taxed if they receive a certain amount? I have little to no knowledge in investing so I’m open to any other ideas and/or advice.
